John Carpenter needs little introduction to genre fans - he’s been a master of years. While his output of late has been somewhat disappointing, it’s hard not to respect the man who has brought us films like Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, and Escape from New York, not to mention two of my all-time favorite fun films, The Thing and Big Trouble in Little China. The Onion has published a lengthy chat with him, covering his career, recent remakes of his films, and his participation in the new Showtime Masters of Horror anthology series.
